SANRIO comes back to Puzzle & Dragons for the 6th time

If you’re a fan of the Puzzle & Dragons franchise, then you’re already very familiar with the SANRIO collabs. This isn’t the first or even the third time we’ve been gifted with the likes of Hello Kitty and Friends; it’s the sixth!

There are a bunch of new variants introduced in this event including Good Day Hello Kitty, Kuromi the Great King, Sea Wolf Pochacco, Nautilus Kerokerokeroppi, Blackbird Bad Badtz-Maru, Wish Me Mell, and more! You’ll be able to find these through pulls from two different machines: SANRIO CHARACTERS Egg Machine and SANRIO CHARACTERS Memorial Egg Machine. The latter will grant a free pull to all players who log in during the collab.

For players, this means you’re guaranteed at least one of these adorable characters to add to your team. But, if you’re unfamiliar with how Puzzle & Dragons works, many of the eggs come from a gacha system. Most likely, these SANRIO machines will require you to conquer specific dungeons (as mentioned below) or to spend real money.

According to the official press release, there are 8 exclusive dungeons open during this time:

• SANRIO CHARACTERS Collab is a dungeon that lets players battle for a chance to earn items including SANRIO CHARACTERS Medal – Gold and three pulls from the SANRIO CHARACTERS Memorial Egg Machine as a first-time clear reward for Dream Labyrinth-Expert floor.
• Skill Leveling Dungeon SANRIO CHARACTERS rewards players who use characters with the same Skill as enemy characters in the dungeon, guaranteeing a Skill Up for the participating character.
• REMDrapurin Descended! is a dungeon that rewards players who defeat a randomized boss, REMDrapurin or Diamond REMDrapurin, with a guaranteed drop matching the defeated boss. Players will also receive one pull from the Clear Reward! ★6+ SANRIO CHARACTERS Egg Machine as a first-time clear reward.
  • Multiplayer! REMDrapurin Descended! is a 3-player mode for REMDrapurin Descended!
• SANRIO CHARACTERS Land! is a dungeon that benefits players who lead their teams with a SANRIO CHARACTERS collab character, guaranteeing a special Assist Evolution for the defeated boss with a 100% drop rate. Players will also receive 4-PvP Icon Cinnamoroll and Event Medal – Black as a first-time clear reward. Additional clear rewards can be obtained by using specified characters as the Leader.
  • Multiplayer! SANRIO CHARACTERS Land! is a 3-player mode of SANRIO CHARACTERS Land!
• Hello Kitty Title Challenge! is a unique dungeon that requires players to use a fixed team and clear within a certain time limit. Players will receive the [Hello Kitty] title as a first-time clear reward.
• [Cinnamoroll] Title Challenge! is a special dungeon that requires players to use a fixed Helper and clear within a certain time limit. Players will receive the [Cinnamoroll] title as a first-time clear reward.

In addition to new dungeons and new egg machines, you can trade medals earned in the SANRIO CHARACTERS Collab dungeons and ‘Event Medal – Black’ at the Monster Exchange. It appears that ‘Event Medal – Black’ is acquired through purchases.

The Monster Exchange lineup offers event-exclusive collab characters including 70’s Hello Kitty and Hello Kitty REMDra.

The REMDRA is everything I want from a Puzzle & Dragons/Hello Kitty collab.
