That’s Not My Neighbor is a great little Papers Please!-like game (by Nacho Sama) with a focus on doppelgangers and monsters. During the main game, you meet a crazy hippie who quizzes you named Chester. In the recently released Nightmare Mode, Chester’s Quiz is amped up to ridiculous levels of difficulty as he turns evil.
While this game is pretty chill as a whole, That’s Not My Neighbor Nightmare Mode is probably a little too difficult for the cozy factor at times. So, I wanted to help ease your pain as you play That’s Not My Neighbor and its Nightmare Mode.
Here’s the thing. Both the main game’s quiz and the Nightmare Mode version are beyond what a lot of people can really handle. And, well, that’s okay. Some of us aren’t good with numbers (or Roman numerals, as you’ll see). But, we all want that tasty achievement, even if we aren’t as smart as we’d want to be.
So, thanks to the wonderful contributors of the That’s Not My Neighbor Fandom wiki, I’ve dropped everything you need to know about Evil Chester’s Quiz on Nightmare Mode into this article, as well as some additional details and trivia!
Lastname of the man behind the true face of the mask most known to internet users.
Fawkes
If you know anything about hackers, you’re probably aware of the group “Anonymous”. They infamously wear Guy Fawkes masks. You might also know the mask from the comic book/film, V For Vendetta.
Which number would give you the victory in a contest of writing the largest number with the conventional rules of the Roman numeral system?
MMMDCCCLXXXVIII
The key here is “conventional rules”, which require a certain order and a maximum on how many numerals can be in a row. 3888 is the biggest number you can write in the Roman numeral system.
Name of the hairiest lieutenant of World War II.
WOJTEK
Wojtek was a Syrian brown bear that was bought from Iran by the Polish army. They enlisted the bear as a private to be able to get it the proper amount of rations and it eventually rose up in rank.
Temple where once a god caused the largest pandemic ever seen in all the great darkn beyond.
ZUL’GURUB
Zul’Gurub, is a well-known dungeon in World of Warcraft. It’s got a boss named Hakkar the Soulflayer. If Hakkar hits you at all, you contract a debuff called Corrupted Blood. After the end of the battle, you’d be cleansed of the debuff.
However, Corrupted Blood went on to have a bug that allowed a player character to take it outside the battle. They proceeded to contaminate the other players and eventually caused a full-bodied pandemic within the server. Data from this was studied by actual scientists.
The “darkn” is a typo in the actual question. It’s just “dark”.
Clave name of the multicellular organism with the ability to clone anything it touches its rhizome.
SCP-038 or SCP038 (either works)
This has to do with the SCP Foundation, a popular database of internet cryptids. SCP-038 can clone any object that touches its bark.
How many numbers are formed with the digits of the cardinality of the parts of a set with the first perfect and happy number of elements?
45360
This one is going to stump the smartest of people as it’s slightly miswritten. The actual question should read as,” How many unique permutations are there of the digits of the cardinality of the power set of a set with the first perfect and happy number of elements?”
The first both perfect and happy number is 28. According to the Fandom wiki page, the power set of a set with 28 elements has a cardinality of 268435456. There are 45360 unique permutations of the digits making up that number.
That’s Not My Neighbor Nightmare Mode is no joke.
The only thing important is spelling, as capitalization does not affect your win or loss. So, double-check your answers before you hit submit.
If you get one incorrect, Evil Chester will tell you and then leave. However, he may show up again in another playthrough. The questions are always the same and in the same order.
If you get all six correct (why wouldn’t you at this point?), you’re awarded the Chester’s Nightmare Mode achievement, just like his regular game version.
