If you’re a fan of older mobile games or games built in the prime of Flash, then you’re probably going to find something to love in this QubicGames 20th Anniversary bundle. It features 20 games for the 20th anniversary and is – you guessed it – $20.
Now, I think we can all agree that Flash games and mobile games become dated pretty quickly. So, you’re not looking at hidden gems with this pack. However, you will find a lot of mindless fun and a treasure trove of Steam Achievement possibilities.
The QubicGames 20th Anniversary Bundle includes:
- Amaze!
- Aquarium Land
- ASMR Slicing
- Astro Miner
- Bucket Crusher
- Dig Deep
- Golf Guys
- Helix Jump
- Hole io
- Infantry Attack
- Johnny Trigger
- Johnny Trigger: Sniper
- Light-It Up
- Mob Control
- The Nom
- Paper io 2
Pocket Mini GolfEyes: The Horror Game*- Pocket Mini Golf 2
- Run Sausage Run!
- Sausage Wars
Personally, I got a little lost in the sauce when I booted up Aquarium Land. It’s a very simple game, but it was easy to play and a great game to let my mind wander. Of the games I’ve played, I definitely recommend that one.
However, if upgrading an aquarium and fishing isn’t your pace, then you’re spoiled for choice. This pack features a wide variety of games like management, party, action, and even a sprinkle of “io” games!
The QubicGames bundle likely won’t appeal to younger players, but if you grew up playing games on Newgrounds, Armor Games, and Kongregate, then you’re going to find a lot of nostalgia in how these games play.
All of these games seem to have DLC that can be bought separately from this pack. So, if you enjoy any of these titles, there’s an option to add more features to that game.
I wouldn’t call any of them “diamonds in the rough”, but for a buck a game, you can’t really go wrong. My only wish is that they would have traded out a few action or party games for a bit more variation.
Their baking management game, My Baking Empire, not in the bundle reminds me so very much of Cooking Mama and their dating sim game, Eroblast: Waifu Dating Sim, brings me back to Newgrounds days. Those would have added a nicer spread of games for the average gamer.
*It seems that they changed the pack after it was given to us by the publisher. The version that we got included the first Pocket Mini Golf, but upon researching it seems to be replaced with Eyes: The Horror Game. Honestly, I’m not mad about that, 3 golf games were a bit too much and the pack has even more variety now.
If you’d like to pick up the QubicGames 20th Anniversary Bundle, you can get it on Steam for just under $20. I’d act sooner than later because I’m getting this news out a bit late. My apologies!
Of the games I’ve played, I enjoyed Aquarium Land the most and may have sunk 4 hours into it already. If you decide to get it, let me know which game is your favorite!
If these types of games aren’t your speed, you can check out our review we did of Cozy Space Survivors.
