You clicked because you’re here for the games featuring leprechauns, drinking, and some asinine connection to the color green, haven’t you? Well, sorry, we’re subverting expectations today! The real spirit of St. Patrick’s Day is supporting Irish-made games.
Do you know what my (very limited) market research has told me? The Irish love dinosaurs and murder! So, that’s the list I present to you! Obviously, the murder bit was just a joke because of the list below. However, the dinosaur bit seems to be incredibly real. And, hey, I’m with you. Dinosaurs are ridiculously cool.
There are a bunch of Irish-made games, but this is a list of just three and since I’m incredibly biased toward dinosaurs, they both made it to the list. Sorry, not sorry. You’d think I’d save them for the eventual dinosaur list, but, apparently not. You’re welcome for the exclusive sneak peek of what that list will look like.
These games all come from Irish developers so the perfect way, in our opinion, to spend St. Patrick’s Day is to support games produced by Irish creators!
St. Patrick’s Day Games / Irish-made Games (ft. Dinosaurs)

Amber Isle
Amber Isle is a cute little shop-sim where you explore the surrounding areas to collect materials that you then use to create items to sell in your shop. It’s got a wide host of characters and several options to upgrade the island. It’s made by the developer, Ambertail Games, which is based out of Belfast. – Our Review
The Darkside Detective
Yes, I put this between the dino games to draw less attention to said dino games. I’m a master of stealth which is why I pulled the one asset picture featuring a dinosaur. — The Darkside Detective is a pixel-art point-and-click mystery game. You play a detective who takes on the weird cases — zombies, tentacles, you name it. You’ll play 9 different cases as you try to make Twin Lakes a safer place to be. It’s made by the developer, Spooky Doorway, which is based out of Galway.

Paleo Pines
Paleo Pines is the first and only dinosaur game on this list. (My editor tells me you must be informed this is a joke.) In this farming sim, you’ll get to befriend dinosaurs and create a sanctuary for them. By gaining their trust, you can get their aid around the farm! It’s made by the developer Italic Pig which is based out of Holywood, not be confused with Hollywood. It’s, also, in Belfast.
I’d like to end this on a heartwarming tangent about supporting Irish-made developers. But, I think the takeaway is that if you want to make a dinosaur game, you should probably open up a studio in Belfast. My mind is abuzz with the idea that there is a dino turf war going on in Belfast between two gaming studios.
