Spring is finally upon us! Well, those of us in the northern hemisphere, anyway. Happy autumn to those who are starting to feel things cool down. As the days warm up here, you may be in need of cozy springtime games that you can play while staying cool inside.
I know what some of you are saying, why play springtime games when you can go outside and be part of nature? Listen, I hear you, but that’s just not feasible for everyone. There are various reasons why someone may not be able to thrive during this season. And, this includes people who just don’t want to be outside. It’s all valid.
So, whether you just don’t want to be in the warmer weather or don’t have the space to enjoy gardening, you can enjoy the season in spirit with these games!
They all deal with nature in one way or another and I feel like these are great representations. You have your standard, true garden game, floral-based puzzles, and even a foraging game based on real plants and recipes.
Cozy Springtime Games

Garden Life: A Cozy Simulator
What says spring better than helping out a ghost? That’s the perfect spring activity if you ask me. In Garden Life: A Cozy Simulator, you’ll take over a little gardening plot that used to belong to Robyn — the ghost. You’ll get to plant flowers, take care of them, and then harvest them to fulfill orders that will come in from your mailbox. Or, if you want to sell from a stall, you can do that too. – Our Review
Botany Manor
I can’t say enough good things about Botany Manor. This is one of the few games that I wish I could go back and play for the first time again. You play as a retired botanist exploring your 19th-century manor. In every room, nook, and cranny, there are puzzles to solve in order to make a specific flower grow. These flowers are long-forgotten and unique. Personally, I felt that all of the puzzles were at the perfect level of challenge so that I could parse them out without too much frustration. – Our Review

Out and About
While Out and About isn’t out and about yet, I did play the demo and I can tell that it’s going to be fun. It’s a little straightforward in how the game plays, but I think it’ll be a charming way to pass the time. You play as a forager and will come upon ingredients that you can catalog and learn about. All of the plants and information surrounding them are real. By harvesting these plants, you can create medicines or foods to sell and these recipes are 100% real as well! It’s basically edutainment for an older crowd. – Our Demo
This is one of those rare lists where I’ve played everything and I can, honestly, say that I enjoyed all of these games for different reasons. Do you have any games you’ve played that could fit into a cozy springtime category? Let us know in the comments!
