As announced earlier this month, Pokémon TCG Pocket has a new set for March 27th, 2025, known as Shining Revelry. While the set itself introduces “shiny” Pokémon, it’s easy to miss some easy ways to get your hands on quite a few packs quickly.
Every time there is a new set in Pokémon TCG Pocket, this is a great way to snag an easy 10-pack pull or so, if you have the decks that can handle it, by battling and earning wins in new solo battles each time. Winning a specific solo battle for the first time grants you some rewards that can help carry your progression and help you earn more goodies.
Shining Revelry Step-Up Battle (Advanced)

First-time wins on the Shining Revelry Step-Up Battle (Advanced) will earn you 5 pack hourglasses, 150 shinedust, 1 shop ticket, and 75 EXP each.
But, each step has specific “Battle Tasks” as well that can earn you up to 20 more shop tickets. All of the Shining Revelry Step-Up Battle (Advanced) Battle Tasks are the same for each step and earn 5 tickets apiece.
- Knock Out your opponent’s Active Pokémon 3 times with an attack from a Specific-Type Pokémon (Explained below)
- Do 100 or more damage in total to your opponent’s Pokémon with one attack
- Win this battle by turn 14
- Win this battle without your opponent getting any points
The step-up battle list includes the decks below. I’m also including the recommended energy-type deck to take it on in the list, which is how you earn the Specific-type Battle Task as well that I mentioned above.
- Beedrill ex – Recommended: Fire
- Charizard ex – Recommended: Water
- Wugtrio ex – Recommended: Lightning
- Paldean Clodsire ex – Recommended: Fighting
- Bibarel ex – Recommended: Fighting
- Lucario ex – Recommended: Psychic
- Tinkaton ex – Recommended: Fire
- Pikachu ex – Recommended: Fighting
- Giratina ex – Recommended: Darkness
If you were to complete all Shining Revelry Step-Up Battle (Advanced) battles, you would earn 45 pack hourglasses, 1350 shinedust, 675 EXP, and 189 shop tickets.
Shining Revelry Expert Solo Battle

First-time wins on the Shining Revelry Expert Solo Battle will earn you 7 pack hourglasses, 200 shinedust, 1 shop ticket, and 100 EXP each.
But, like the Step-Up Battles, each step has specific “Battle Tasks” as well that can earn you up to 25 more shop tickets. Similarly, all of the Shining Revelry Expert Solo Battle Battle Tasks are the same for each step and earn 5 tickets apiece.
- Win this battle with a deck whose Pokémon are only a specific type (Explained below)
- Win this battle using a deck where all the Pokémon cards are of 1 Diamond, 2 Diamond, and/or 3 Diamond rarity
- Win this battle by turn 12
- Win this battle without your opponent getting any points
- Deal 1500 or more damage (This can be done across multiple battles)
The difference with the Specific-type Pokémon Battle Task is that it’s meant to be harder. While there will be a more Recommended deck type, the Battle Task wants to pit you against the grain and make it harder.
The step-up battle list includes these decks. I’m also including the recommended energy-type deck to take it on properly below, as well as the Battle Task-specific type.
- Bibarel ex – Recommended: Fighting, Battle Task Requirement: Colorless
- Paldean Clodsire ex – Recommended: Fighting, Battle Task Requirement: Psychic
- Giratina ex – Recommended: Darkness, Battle Task Requirement: Fighting
- Pikachu ex – Recommended: Fighting, Battle Task Requirement: Water
- Tinkaton ex – Recommended: Fire, Battle Task Requirement: Water
- Wugtrio ex – Recommended: Electric, Battle Task Requirement: Fire
- Lucario ex – Recommended: Psychic, Battle Task Requirement: Darkness
- Beedrill ex – Recommended: Fire, Battle Task Requirement: Darkness
- Charizard ex – Recommended: Water, Battle Task Requirement: Grass
If you were to complete all Shining Revelry Expert Solo Battles, you would earn 63 pack hourglasses, 1800 shinedust, 900 EXP, and 288 shop tickets.
Shop Tickets

With that said, you just earned a ton of the pink and blue Shop Tickets that can be used in the aptly named Shop, under the also aptly named Tickets tab. If you completed all of the battles and Battle Tasks above, you should have minimally 477 Shop Tickets to use. Congrats!
If you’re familiar with the Shop already, this isn’t going to be telling you anything new. But, for those who are new to Pokémon TCG Pocket, this is a great place to grab a bunch of new stuff, such as the new Shining Revelry: Shiny Pokémon (cover) Binder for your collection for only 15 Tickets. You can also grab the new Springtime Frame (backdrop) for 50 Shop Tickets.
However, you’re here for Hourglasses. You can pick up 10 individual Pack Hourglasses at 3 Shop Tickets apiece, with another 10 of the x6 Pack Hourglasses for 18 Shop Tickets each. This will grant you a total of 70 more hourglasses using only 210 of your freshly obtained Shop Tickets. You can also do the same with Wonder Hourglasses if you’d like.
With that said, this means you will have access to 178 total hourglasses for free on day one of Shining Revelry, on top of your two free daily packs. This doesn’t even include the new Ranked Match Missions that will earn you a ton more Pack Hourglasses.
Thanks to Pokémon Zone for the early information for this guide, as these particular battles are not available until March 27th at 2 AM EST. If you haven’t checked out Pokémon TCG Pocket yet, it’s available on Android and iOS for free.
