Seasonala Cemetery is a free-to-play game that was announced during the 2025 Wholesome Direct Showcase which Wholesome Games puts on every year. It’s a walking sim that lets you explore a serene cemetery as it changes through the seasons.
Seasonala Cemetery has an interesting approach to the passage of the seasons, as it is modeled on your real date and time. If you first play this game in the Summer, the cemetery will reflect that. And, if you come back in the Winter, you’ll have a snowy landscape waiting for you.
You’ll be able to interact with animals and NPCs while you listen to ambient sounds that were recorded from an actual cemetery. By reading the tombstones, you’ll learn more about the city’s history and you can honor them by placing down little trinkets you find on the stones like flowers or pinecones.

Seasonala Cemetery looks like a charming little game to relax in. And, personally, I’m excited to dive into it the first chance I have some downtime. There’s a stigma that cemeteries are creepy or a morbid place to visit, recreationally. However, I’ve always found cemeteries to be a very peaceful place to visit.
