A new cozy game is dropping this summer that brings cozy to the outdoors. Into the Emberlands is a cute game that is colony-based at its core. But, to build up your village, you must venture into the woods and ultimately, into the dark miasma that has swallowed the lands. As the chosen Lightbearer, you’re armed with only a lamp full of Ember to light your way.
Guided by the light, you can traverse various new biomes in search of “the lost ones”. The lost ones are those who have strayed from the path, so by guiding them back to camp, you’ll expand your village. It’s not just villagers that you’ll find, however. You’ll be able to scavenge for materials and you’ll even find a few trolls, mad scientists, and even chickens within the depths of the forest.
It’s unclear if these beings are dangerous, but they can be bargained with. By completing a quest or a bargain, you’ll be offered rewards that vary from equipment upgrades to resources. This might be the one time we’d advise you to talk to strangers in the woods.
Into the Emberlands has such vibrantly rich colors, it’s gorgeous.
The lands are procedurally generated, so you’re unlikely to step into the same woods twice. And, each biome offers its own challenges. So, you’re bound to find something new and fun each time you venture into the darkness. This, also, means that you have to adapt your playstyle and be on your toes if you don’t want to become a lost one yourself.
As your village grows, you’ll learn more about the miasma plaguing the land and perhaps we’ll discover if there is a way to restore the lands. Don’t be afraid to be bold in Into the Emberlands because even if you get lost in the woods, you can always try again!
Into the Emberlands doesn’t have a set release date yet, unfortunately. But, that doesn’t mean that you’ll have to wait long! The game will be going into Early Access sometime in Summer 2024. So, while you’re getting ready to hit the pools, keep an eye out for Into the Emberlands on days you just want to beat the heat and relax at home.

Just a tiny note, this game used to be called Wanderful, so if you look at Daedalic Entermainment or Tiny Roar, you may not see anything for Into the Emberlands until all the media is changed.
