Book Bound is a simple concept with a lot of potential. It’s done in a pixelated style and allows you to decorate your bookshop as you see fit. When you’re happy with the way it looks, you can then decide what books you stock, and help customers with their purchases.
When decorating your shop, you’ll have the freedom to choose where things go and, with items in genre categories, you’ll be able to create dozens of different bookshop designs. You’ll have your choice of items in SciFi, Romance, Non-Fiction, Fantasy, and Thriller categories.
From there you can fiddle with your book catalog where you can decide on the books you’ll stock and expand your book empire. By selling a book in every genre, you’ll unlock bonuses that will benefit your little shop.
All that’s left after that is to help guests find their next reading adventure, keep the place tidy, and advertise your shop to the city. You’ll, also, be able to create your own little avatar so that everything is to your liking.

I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve always wanted my own bookshop/library, so this is a pretty exciting little cozy game that makes my heart happy. If this title excites you, you’ll be happy to know that a demo is out currently.
So, if you’d like to try out Book Bound, you can! The demo is limited, as most demos are, and only features the romance and fantasy genres. Make sure to play it to the end because there is no way to save progress in the demo. The full release, of course, will have save options.
No news on when the game is coming in full (other than Q1) or how much it’ll be at launch. If you like the premise, please consider adding Book Bound to your Steam wishlist as that helps the developer out.
